Neuro-affirming, somatic & depth-oriented art therapy & counseling · Montreal & online
A way back home to yourself.
Sometimes home feels out of reach, or as if it exists somewhere outside of you. In our work together, we slow down and notice what is happening underneath. We might use art, movement, conversation, or whatever helps you feel more connected to yourself.
The reframe
You are not broken. You adapted.
I do not see distress as proof that something is wrong with you. Often, it makes sense when we look at what you have been carrying and how you learned to cope.

What actually happens in a session?
"Somatic art therapy" can sound complicated. In practice, it is quite simple and you help set the pace. It brings together three things.
We pay attention to sensations, breathing, and your nervous system, not only your thoughts. The body often notices something before words arrive.
You might use color, images, or materials when talking feels difficult. You do not need art experience, and there is no right way to make anything.
All of it inside a steady, unhurried relationship. Nothing you make is judged, kept, or interpreted without you.
You do not have to talk the whole time. You do not need art skills. We move at the pace your nervous system allows.
Ways in
A few ways we might begin.
We start with what feels most important that day. You never have to use a particular activity, and we can slow down or change direction whenever you need to.
Somatic awareness
Noticing what is happening in your body and finding ways to feel more settled.
Art expression
Using color, images, or materials when words are hard to find. No art skills are needed.
Parts integration
Getting to know the different parts of yourself with more curiosity and less conflict.
Mindful counselling
Conversation that respects how your mind works and what helps you feel safe enough to open up.
About me
Chloe Martin, M.A., CCC
I'm a somatic and depth-oriented art therapist working with adults in Montreal and online across Canada. My practice is trauma-informed, humanistic, queer-affirming, sex-worker-affirming, and welcoming of polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous relationships. It is grounded in the belief that people make sense in the context of their lives.
I offer a steady, collaborative space where we can slow things down and listen for what your body, emotions, and imagination are communicating.
